October 26 launch for AustriaSat

AustriaSat, the new DTH platform for Austria, will go live on Tuesday, October 26, on the Astra satellite at 19.2° East.

With the strapline “TV mit Wow!” the platform offers a bouquet of channels from Sony, ProSiebenSat.1, RTL Deutschland and MTV Networks. Reception is possible for all Austrian households with a regular ORF smart card, that is used for reception of the channels from the public broadcaster as well as for the free-to-view commercial channels. This bouquet consists of ORF1, ORF2, ATV, Puls TV and Austria 9 TV.

Everyone who has an ORF smart card can try the new service for free for one month; after which a sub--SS--ion costs EUR 7.90 monthly with a minimum contract of twelve months.

AustriaSat’s complete line-up will consist of AXN, Animax, kabeleins classics, Sat.1 Comedy, RTL Living, MTV Music, MTV Rocks, MTV Dance, MTV Hits, VH-1, Sportdigital.tv, . More channels will be added in the near future.
